It has been a long journey for the group to return to the stage, having had to cancel last year’s show due to COVID-19 restrictions coming into place hours before opening night.
Director Suzanne Spencer said the group decided early this year to give it another try due to all the hard work and effort that had gone into the production in 2021.
“We have had a few cast changes but everyone in the company is really excited to finally bring this show to a live audience and is sure that it will be a fun night out for the whole family,” she said.
The group recently hosted a trivia night at Hurley’s Hotel to raise funds for the show and has been strongly supported by local businesses through the donation of items that were auctioned on the night.
It was a great night out, with over 100 people in attendance, and $1949 was raised to go towards supporting the group’s efforts to produce local theatre for Kyabram.
Despite all the up and downs over the past two years, the Kyabram Theatre Group continues to grow in membership and in opportunities to be active in the arts.
The group is looking forward to seeing the local community come out and support the show, as it's going to be a fun night out for all.
