The man who allegedly broke into the Kyabram Swimming Club last week is facing charges of burglary and theft.
Kyabram police Senior Sergeant Justin McAuley said a 24-year old Kyabram man had been charged with burglary and stealing from the Kyabram Swimming Club rooms on Fenaughty St.
In the early hours of Friday, March 6, a Kyabram Swimming Club volunteer found that the clubrooms had been “broken into and made a complete mess of”.
A Victoria Police spokesperson alleged the man broke into the club at around 6am on March 6 and stole clothing and food before fleeing on foot.
The man was arrested on March 7 and charged with burglary and theft.
Sen Sgt McAuley said the man was interviewed in relation to burglaries of commercial businesses in Kyabram.
The man was bailed and will appear at Echuca Magistrates’ Court on May 6.
