Four junior gymnasts proudly represented Benalla Gymnastics Club at Gymnastics Victoria’s Junior State Championships on Saturday, November 2.
The group of girls competed against the top 35 athletes in their respective levels and age divisions.
Ella Bast competed in the 10 years, level five, division two section and put out four solid routines, while Abbey Marshall, Quinn Russell, and Hannah Berriman competed in the 13 years and over, level five, division two section.
Young Benalla Breakers dominate junior tournament
The girls put together a number of great routines, as well as overcome their individual skill challenges throughout the competition.
Highlights from the competition were Hannah placing fifth on floor, Ella landing a back walk-over on beam for the first time at a major competition, while Quinn placed 16th overall.
On top of that, Abbey produced two amazing saves on beam and bars to keep her routines going.
Benalla Gymnastics Club is extremely proud of the girls and their efforts throughout the 2019 competition season.
