On Thursday, November 30, Benalla Toyota and Delatite Ford celebrated Mr Shaw, Jemma Gipp and Sue Calder’s efforts with a mo-ment morning tea hosted by Ms Gipp, which included a fun surprise for their co-workers.
“We had the ceremonial dying of the mo,” Mr Shaw said.
Earlier in the month, Mr Shaw said if anybody donated $100 to the team, he would dye his moustache, and after receiving the big donation, his co-workers helped to dye his mo at the morning tea.
“Jemma and Sue chose to dye it orange,” he said.
He said he was pretty quick to shave it off, but not before the team got plenty of photos.
Ms Calder also smashed her Movember goal of running 60km, almost doubling it by running over 100km during the month.
The three of them collectively raised a massive amount in their first year of joining the cause.
“We’re just over $1100 at this point,” Mr Shaw said.
“Donations can still be made online.”
Next year, Mr Shaw said he was hoping to go bigger for Movember.
“We want to get more people involved and make it office-wide,” he said.
