The club is one of three Mulwala organisations to benefit in an overall $30,592 for 15 organisations with Federation Council’s 2022/23 Community Grants program Round Two. The budget available for Round Two is $30,610.
Mulwala Progress Association will receive $2,050 to purchase a defibrillator for Tunzafun to enable response for emergency cardiac situations.
A free community event, the Mulwala Kite Festival by Mulwala Public School will benefit with a $1,000 grant.
Corowa Historical Society is to receive a $3,000 cash contribution from Federation Council to hold the 130th Anniversary of the 1893 Corowa Conference on July 29 and 30. It is one of eight Corowa-based organisations to receive a grant.
Daysdale Hall Committee’s plan to support the cost of the installation of updated visitor and historical signage and a walk-through shed will receive a $2,500 boost.
A family day – a free community with an array of children’s activities and music at Howlong Golf Resort – is to have a $2,000 cash allocation.
An amount of $2,000 will go to the Urana Campdraft Incorporated to support the 2024 Urana Campdraft, which will include youth events.
Oaklands and District Lions Club will also benefit by $2,000 to hold the Santa in the Park event, a free community event for Christmas.
