Finely club secretary Julia Stava said to mark the occasion the club would be running a series of events including open gardens and talks.
Kicking off celebrations will be a lunch at the Finley RSL Club on Wednesday, September 28.
As well as a lucky door prize, a continuous raffle, a plant trading table, morning tea and lunch, there will be two guest speakers.
“There are two very different presenters,” Ms Stava said.
“We look forward to meeting the current president of Gardening Clubs of Australia, Lorraine Emerson, for the first time.”
The Garden Clubs of Australia is the umbrella group for 773 clubs nationwide with around 53,000 members.
A qualified commercial florist, Ms Emerson’s role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organisation along with representation at affiliate functions throughout the year.
Her passion for gardening and floral design has earned her the honour of judging Sydney's Spring Garden Competition for the past two years
The second presenter will be Rodney Clarke from Invergordon.
“Rod will be talking about two of his passions — dahlias and chrysanthemums,” Ms Stava said.
“Rod’s presentation is very thorough — from propagation to harvest.
“Rod’s knowledge is second only to his enthusiasm. He'll also have a selection of dahlias and chrysanthemums for sale at the lunch.”
Tickets cost $40. To book, contact Julia Stava on 0408 648 494 by Wednesday, September 21.
