During January 28 and 29 ropers, riders and ringers from across Australia will compete for the 2021 Ariat Australian Professional Riders Association (APRA) National Finals championship.
The big event was originally set to run in Warwick, Queensland, in late October but was postponed because of Queensland’s tough border restrictions at the time.
Event organiser Andrew Embling said the event was “all going and good” as the deadline approached.
The confidence is much needed, with a Tamworth rodeo round up recently cancelled because of the growing number of COVID cases.
Fans wanting to see the National Finals in the flesh at Alexandra will need to be double vaccinated and bring their own chair.
It will also be a chance for fans to see their favourite livestock, with stock contractors Garry McPhee, Gill Bros Rodeo and Terry Evison supplying the real competition on the nights.
When asked for people to look out for, Mr Embling said Merrijig local Will Purcell was a good one.
Alexandra is hosting the final two rounds of the APRA championship — as well as the trophy ceremony.
