The funds will play a crucial role in supporting the organisation to provide food relief to vulnerable individuals and families across the shire.
Moira FoodShare general manager, James Rouel, expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from the local community.
"We are incredibly thankful to the Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort for this generous contribution,” Mr Rouel said.
“Their support will help us continue to deliver fresh, nutritious food to those in need, ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry.”
Each month, Moira FoodShare distributes food to over 3,500 residents across 19 rural townships, working closely with local agencies and community groups to meet the growing demand for food assistance.
This funding will help strengthen the organisation’s capacity to source and distribute essential food supplies where they are needed most.
Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort CEO Peter Savy said the club was proud to support such an important community initiative.
"We recognise the vital role that Moira FoodShare plays in ensuring food security for those in need,“ Mr Savy said.
Supporting local organisations like this is part of our commitment to giving back to the community."
Moira FoodShare is looking forward to further strengthening partnerships with local businesses and organisations to continue its mission of reducing food insecurity in rural Victoria.
