Goulburn Murray Landcare Network’s annual Farm Forum will be held on April 30 and this year will focus on farm safety and farmer health.
Topics for discussion will include:
- Farm safety: This workshop, presented by a VFF Making Our Farms Safer project adviser, will deliver free farm safety tools and services that are accessible, practical and useful to all Victorian farmers to support farmer and workers’ safety, wellbeing and mental health.
- Farm crime prevention: This workshop, presented by the Victorian Police Rural Farm Crime Prevention team, aims to help the farming community better protect itself against farm crime, as well as highlight the important role farmers play in helping police catch criminals.
- Managing future droughts: This workshop, presented by Riverine Plains, is an opportunity for farmers to share their different experiences of drought, learn from each other, and gain a better understanding of the health and financial support services available.
The 2022 Farm Forum sessions will be held on Saturday, April 30 at the Sir Ian McLennan Centre, Mooroopna, from 10am to 2pm. Children are welcome and a free lunch will be provided.
