CFA crews responded to reports of a Torrumbarry fire at 1.37pm on Sunday, April 14.
Eighteen CFA units were deployed near the Murray Valley Highway in Torrumbarry, close to where the blaze was burning.
On arrival, about 80ha of land had been burnt in the grass fire and multiple structures were under threat.
Police and Ambulance Victoria were notified, while asset protection measures were put put in place by firefighters.
A VicEmergency community information notice was issued at 2.39pm.
The amount of land burnt had risen to 220ha by 3.03pm, with no threat to buildings.
By 3.51pm the fire was under control, and deemed safe at 5.09pm. A total of 220ha was burned.
The CFA deployed brigades from Cohuna, Northern Campaspe, Echuca, Kerang, Rochester, Bamawm, Kotta, Lockington, Pine Grove, Leitchville, Mitiamo, Gunbower, Torrumbarry and Pyramid Hill.
