We’re excited the expo will celebrate 32 years of being a Seymour experience, with more than 400 stallholders and exhibitors expected to appear at this year’s event.
Seymour and surrounds have faced numerous challenges during and after last year’s floods and we acknowledge there is still much to do.
Positioning ourselves to be ready for this event so quickly shows exceptional hard work, commitment and resilience amongst our amazing community and we are ‘ready to go’.
I would like to take this opportunity, as we showcase our town, to yet again acknowledge and thank the many volunteers who ensured Kings Park was restored to its previous pristine condition, allowing for it to be opened in time for this year’s expo.
It’s time to come together to support one another and have some much-needed fun, so I encourage you, your family and friends to come and enjoy all the expo has to offer.
All things agricultural are a vital part of Mitchell Shire, and the expo encourages continued growth, development and rural innovation by bringing new ideas and techniques to our doorstep.
It also brings significant economic benefit to our town and surrounds.
Over the 32 years, we’ve seen the exhibits and technology change — with the event bringing new and exciting diversity in the agricultural realm along with interesting and unique hobby opportunities.
There is a wealth of knowledge and experience in the agricultural industry and the expo provides you the opportunity to get up close and personal and observe and learn from many experts.
It tailors to most beginners and those wishing to improve their knowledge and skills.
As well as many exhibitors coming from far and wide, our fantastic local produce will also be proudly on display.
Visitors to the expo are encouraged to check out ‘Discover Mitchell’ on both Instagram and Facebook, or physically attend the visitor information booth that will operate throughout the expo.
Weather for this event has always kept us on our toes. We’ve had extreme heat, right through to refreshing rains, so come prepared for whatever this year’s weather challenge might be.
Our local restaurants, hotels, cafes and wineries are excited and ready to welcome you.
To all our visitors, I know you will leave Seymour with a very positive experience and will be planning to return next year.
Congratulations and thank you to all our hard-working volunteers, staff, community members and expo stakeholders who have made this event an outstanding success for more than three decades.
This has well and truly put Seymour and Mitchell Shire ‘on the map’.
I would also like to thank the thousands of people that have literally travelled from far and wide, including from interstate, to attend this event. It would not be the success it is without you, too.
I’m excited to see what’s on offer this year and I strongly recommend the experience to all.
