Victorians have until 8pm on Tuesday, November 8, to enrol and ensure they have their say at the state election this month.
Australian citizens living in Victoria, who have recently turned 18 or changed their address, can complete an online enrolment form or download a paper form at vec.vic.gov.au but the paper enrolment forms must be received by the Victorian Electoral Commission by the 8pm deadline.
Electoral Commissioner Warwick Gately has urged voters to check their enrolment details to make sure their voice is heard on November 26.
“If you’ve already checked your enrolment details are up to date, then you’re all set to vote in this year’s state election,” he said.
“If you haven’t checked, take a few minutes to do it now to make voting in the election much easier.
“Every vote matters, and being correctly enrolled means it is easier to participate in Victorian democracy.”
