The Long Lunch for Mental Health, organised by Charles L King and Co First National Real Estate, is being held to facilitate conversations around mental wellbeing, with a focus on including as many young people in the region as possible.
Community mental health services, including The Local and headspace, will receive all funds raised from the event.
Attendees will learn about mental health fitness and hear from guest speakers, including Warren Davies, ‘The Unbreakable Farmer’, a leading rural mental health spokesperson.
Registered as part of the Big Blue Table campaign, the initiative by Beyond Blue brings people together over a meal to discuss mental health and fight the surrounding stigma.
The lunch, which is alcohol-free, is $65 per person and includes a two-course meal, a sweet treat and a tea or coffee.
It will be held at Radcliffe’s Echuca Courtyard, 2-10 Radcliffe St, on Friday, October 25 from 11.30am with lunch served at noon.
A spokesperson for the event organisers said the event could be sponsored by buying a seat at the table for a young person in your life, with gifted seats to be made available in an upcoming competition.
The RSVP deadline has been extended until October 18, with those interested encouraged to purchase a ticket as they are limited.
The Long Lunch for Mental Health is supported by Campaspe Shire Council, the First National Real Estate Foundation and Coolabah Turf.
