The four-hour event was at the Moama pool, where 120 students attended, and 40 competed for a ribbon.
It was a stunning day, perfect for the outdoor event where the morning temperature hovered around 30 without a cloud in the sky.
Competitive edge: The lucky winners from across Years 3 to Year 6 who won either a third, second or first ribbon.

Echuca East sports teacher Ben Holmfield has led the school’s physical education program for the past fifteen years and was preparing the pool for the day’s event.
“It’s a great day for the kids; it gets them out of the classroom for the day, and they get to compete against one another and develop confidence when in the water,” Mr Holmfield said.
“It’s an incredible event for team spirit and supporting each other and being a good person.”
The competitors form an orderly queue as they await for their respective heat to take place.
