The Devenish, Dookie & Districts Good Friday Appeal is back again with a classic event.
A show ’n shine and music day will hit the main street in Dookie showing off cars of times gone by.
Those cars include ones like Ray Mullins’s 1960 Triumph TR3, which has been in his possession since 1988.
It drives about 3500km per year to head to car shows and has travelled to every state in Australia, all driven by Mr Mullins himself.
On Good Friday, April 18, Mary St, Dookie will be filled with prestige cars and motorbikes from 9am to noon with the judging of the best cars at the conclusion of the day.
The DDDGFA is a group of dedicated volunteers that fundraise year-round for the Royal Children’s Hospital and in the past eight years has raised over $700,000 for the appeal.
Last year, they raised $193,240 for the 2024 appeal, third in the state behind Ballarat and Geelong.
Entertainment continues until 6pm at the Gladstone Hotel with Owen Holleran, Steph Durden and Nigel Parsons.
The day includes raffles, lucky ticket draws and a goods and services auction, with all funds raised going to the 2025 Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal.
Vehicle entry is $10, but spectators attend for free.
Vehicle registration begins at 8am, with viewings from 9am and presentation at noon.
