Police urge drivers to ‘stay safe’ over long weekend
With the long weekend approaching and more drivers travelling to celebrate Australia Day, police are urging people to stay safe on the road.
Act Sgt Wild asked drivers to be safe over the upcoming Australia Day long weekend, urging those travelling to “drive with the conditions”.
Police will be conducting extra operations over the long weekend to ensure drivers are being safe on roads.
Act Sgt Wild said there would be “zero tolerance” for those committing traffic offences such as drink-driving, speeding, not wearing seat belts or using mobile phones while driving.
