Over the next six weeks, the Lockington & District community members will have the opportunity to read and discuss the contents of the plan and provide feedback before being tabled to Campaspe Shire Council.
Mayor Daniel Mackrell said the plan was a combination of aspirations and future ambitions sourced from the responses to the in-person and online consultation sessions that began in July 2024.
Cr Mackrell said about 790 people provided feedback in the development of the plan to “improve their town in terms of tourism, events and business, health, wellbeing and culture, infrastructure, natural environments and community participation”.
The Lockington & District Place Based Plan Committee is made up of eight members including Colin Bacon, Bridie Boyle, Monica Brereton, Joseph Halloway (co-chair), Janelle Mancer, Wendy Sims (co-chair), Dan Walker and Graeme Wood.
