The event is an opportunity for locals to have a look inside the inner-workings of the site on Sunday, November 10, with tours at 11am and 1pm.
The CFA crew will educate guests on fire safety, particularly in the lead-up to fire danger season, and is also hoping to get representation from Victoria Police.
CFA Captain Daniel Moylan said the open day would provide prospective volunteers with an understanding of what was involved in the role.
“People can see what we do and get a feel for it,” he said.
“We’ll have a bit of home fire safety for bushfires and in general as well.
“It’s a good information day.”
There will be a range of kids’ activities, as well as a junior member demonstration at noon.
A free barbecue is available, alongside a coffee van and doughnuts to keep guests fed and caffeinated.
Mr Moylan encouraged the community to head along to the open day as a chance to learn more about and ask questions of the CFA.
“Come down and see what we do,” he said.
“See what equipment we have and learn a bit of fire safety and how to prepare your property for the upcoming fire season.”
Echuca CFA open day is on Sunday, November 10 from 10am to 2pm at 290 High St, Echuca.
