It is the latest in a series of trail maps Campaspe Shire Council has released, having already supported the development of a history and an arts trail map.
Campaspe Shire Mayor Rob Amos said tourism was a key component of the local economy and highlighting what was on offer was an important part of council’s role in supporting the sector.
“There are a wide range of museums and fascinating places to visit within our shire that appeal to people interested in motoring and machinery,” Cr Amos said.
“But it’s not just cars and tractors on offer, the Cruising in Campaspe map highlights an array of artworks that would interest not only tourists, but locals too.
“One of the locations on the map features the street art in Tongala, which recently won gold at the Australian Street Art Awards ‘Best Street Art Trail’.
“The map has been designed with sites in mind which make great group photo opportunities for car clubs.”
Maps are available electronically on council’s website and hard copies will be available at Echuca Moama Visitor Information Centre, Kyabram Town Hall, Rochester Sports Museum, council customer service centres and other local attractions.
Businesses can contact economic development manager Astrid O’Farrell on 1300 666 535 to request copies of the map to give to customers.
