The program offers financial assistance to a diverse range of projects and initiatives that contribute to the social, cultural, environmental, and economic development of the Campaspe community.
The grants awarded in round two include:
Community grants
• Rochester Basketball Association Inc. received $2160 for the Referee Program, supporting juniors to become basketball referees.
• Echuca Bowls Club Inc. received $3500 to contribute towards the refurbishment of the outdoor entertainment area.
• Echuca Moama Theatre Company Inc. received $3808 to purchase LED light fittings.
• Echuca Moama Apex Club Inc. was granted $4000 to assist with creating a community garden at Crossenvale Community House.
• Echuca Regional Health was granted $1000 to purchase clothing for the Patient Clothing Program for vulnerable patients.
• Echuca Moama Broadcast Service Inc. EMFM104.7 received $4000 to install sound dampening insulation.
• Bamawm Lockington United Cricket Club Inc. received $4000 to assist with constructing an equipment storage shed.
• Rochester Mural Festival (Committee 4 Rochester Inc.) was granted $1800 to purchase paint for upcoming murals.
Campaspe Shire said the level of community engagement and participation in the grant process highlights the strong commitment towards creating a vibrant and inclusive community for all residents.
