Campaspe Shire Council general manager corporate Fleur Cousins said 14 photos would be selected to feature in the 2021 calendar, which will be available to the community through collection points across the shire.
“The competition seems to build in popularity each year, and with new and improved smartphones now out there, the quality of the entries keeps impressing the judges,” Ms Cousins said.
“Last year’s competition was by far the strongest with a lot of really fantastic photos submitted.
“It’s exciting to see what will come through this time.”
Up to five photos can be entered by each person with each winning entry receiving $50, a calendar and bragging rights for a full year.
Photos must be taken within the Campaspe Shire and must be submitted in landscape orientation.
Photos from the competition will also form part of council’s photographic library and feature in promotional publications, council reports and on social media.
The competition is now open and will close on Wednesday, October 7.
The application process has been changed so users can submit their photos and entry directly from their smartphone.
Submissions will be received online at: www.campaspe.vic.gov.au/photocomp
“In addition to your formal entry, why not get your friends behind you by posting your photos on Instagram and Facebook using hashtags #MyCampaspe and #LoveWhereYouLive,” Ms Cousins said.
