“My role is to make sure everything is running smoothly,” he said.
“If you buy a premium car, you get a premium service.”
When Mr Goodall talks about building cars, he means choosing between about 20 different variants for all BMW models.
“Our job is to try and build a car to serve their needs,” he said.
“They can choose from a handful of engine options, if it’s a diesel or petrol car, all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, and what colour.
“There’s also different features like seat heaters, sun roofs to fine tune the car.”
MINI also has a range of options — as well as fun colour options, like the trademark racing stripes — customers can order.
“MINI is a little funkier, but the quality and experience is exactly the same as BMW,” Mr Goodall said.
“It certainly feels like a BMW, but it’s a different car.”
If you’re looking to switch to electric, BMW currently has three options available: the i4, iX3 and the iX.
“In terms of the driving, it’s actually quite relaxing,” Mr Goodall said.
“It’s very quiet, and they’ve got instant power.”
