The Benalla Hospital auxiliary has existed for nearly 85 years and its members are as enthusiastic and dedicated as ever.
The volunteer group raises funds for non-government funded equipment and amenities for patients at Benalla Hospital.
Members and friends do as much or as little as is suited to them and their circumstances. Many attend auxiliary meetings, but this is not essential.
Now the auxiliary is asking active people in the community who may be newly retired, part-time, or new to Benalla to consider contributing some of their time and skills by joining it to ensure it continues into the future.
Interested people are encouraged to call in for afternoon tea, and find out more, from 2pm on Friday, June 16, at the Ray Sweeney Centre, Benalla Hospital.
An auxiliary spokesperson said they would be there celebrating their recent successes and would love to meet new prospective members.
“There is absolutely no pressure, but (we) would love to see you,” the spokesperson said.
“You are welcome to bring a friend. All current friends and donors are also cordially invited.”
