Australia is home to one officially licensed Batmobile, and right now, it’s in the Goulburn Valley.

On display at MOVE during the school holidays, the full-scale replica — complete with original gadgets and a working flamethrower — is a must-see for automotive enthusiasts and superhero fans.

But this vehicle is more than just an impressive spectacle to view.

It belongs to the Superheroes Foundation, which doesn’t fight crime, but rather brain cancer.

Each year in Australia, around 1700 people are diagnosed with the disease, including roughly 130 children.

Around 1200 Australians sadly succumb to the condition every 12 months.

Though a fictional character, Bruce Wayne taught us that heroes come in many forms and have many ways to help.

“A hero can be anyone. Even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a little boy’s shoulders to let him know that the world hadn’t ended,” he once famously said in The Dark Knight Rises.

This much is true for the Superheroes Foundation, which aims to ensure that brain cancer sufferers and their families can focus on their wellbeing and treatment without the added stress of financial strains.

It does so by rallying support from other heroic individuals and organisations to provide support for out-of-pocket medical expenses and loss of income while away from work.

MOVE is thrilled to partner with the caped crusaders for the duration of the school holidays in bringing this unique larger-than-life display, straight out of the hit 1960s Batman TV show, to residents and visitors in Greater Shepparton.

“Not only is it a great feature car for all the families visiting, but also to promote the Superheroes Foundation during our peak period,” MOVE’s Andrew Church said.
