Algae blooms, black water events and fish deaths on the chopping block

MDBA acting executive officer Andrew Reynolds said good quality water was important to all agriculture, recreation, tourism and cultural basin users.

“We have seen spikes in water quality issues in parts of the basin due to drought and bushfires in recent times,” Mr Reynolds said.

“Managing water quality at the basin-scale requires ongoing collaboration and vigilance.”
