The trailer creation, known as Portable Fertiliser Tanks, is available with one, two or three 12 000 litre tanks, which can be used for storing any liquid, not just fertilisers.
Users will only be able to transport the tanks when empty.
The framework was designed and plastic mould was built on-site at SLTEC's Tongala site, while the manufacturing of the tanks were outsourced.
A hydraulic hand pump allows users to easily lower the trailer to rest in the paddock when tanks are empty and raise it for transport as needed.
SLTEC Fertilisers technical agronomy manager for broadacre cropping Scott Palmer said they were proud of their new invention and hoped it would assist all farmers, not just those wanting to store fertiliser.
“The final design was finished on Friday (February 28) and when available selected ag dealers will sell them as well as us,” Mr Palmer said.
“It does drive very well down the road, it handles very well and is built really heavy and is set up to use straight away.”
A single tank on a static steel stand will also be available to purchase.
