A $19,000 allocation has been committed to the Winton Wetlands Committee of Management to enhance captive breeding for the reintroduction of growling grass frogs in the Goulburn Broken catchment.
Six Goulburn Broken environmental projects will share in $160,100 from the Victorian Government.

The projects include $19,000 to support captive breeding of growling grass frogs and $24,000 to help Threatened Species Conservancy with DNA testing of fish to monitor population sizes.
Victorian Water Minister Harriet Shing announced the funding for the pilot projects on August 31.
The Strathbogie Ranges Conservation Management Network will receive $30,000 to reduce the impact of climate change on the ranges by collecting and sharing environmental information online.
The Taungurung Land and Waters Council will use its $30,000 to build relationships with the Molesworth community and adjoining landholders to heal Country and undertake invasive weeding works.
BehaviourWorks Australia and Monash University will share $30,000 to conduct research and survey farmers and industry about climate change awareness and better land management practices.
Water Stewardship Australia will receive $26,700 to undertake an audit of water use and needs in Strathbogie Shire.
The $160,100 in new funding comes from the Our Catchments, Our Communities program.
