Two women hurt in airboat crash at NT safari camp

One had head injuries and the other a leg injury.

On Thursday, NT Health said a 54-year-old woman remained in hospital in a stable condition and a 43-year-old had been discharged.

NT WorkSafe is investigating the incident in the Bynoe region, northwest of Litchfield National Park.

It said 12 passengers were on board the airboat at the time of the crash.

A safari camp spokesperson said it would work with authorities to review the incident at Sweets Lagoon, about 120km southwest of Darwin.

"At the moment our focus is exclusively on supporting those passengers and staff involved," the spokesperson said.
