It will be held on Thursday, February 27, ahead of the 2025 Wattlewood Angus Annual On-Farm Bull Sale on Friday, March 7.
Wattlewood Angus will host the workshop in conjunction with West Gippsland Veterinary Care. Attendees can learn how to get the best from the genetics they invest in and the cows they breed on the land they have.
Tickets can be found at: www.reproactivewattlewood.eventbrite.com.au
The 2025 Wattlewood Angus Bull Sale catalogue includes progeny of Sterling Pacific, SITZ Dignity, Sydgen Enhance, Sterling Pacific, Baldridge Command and Baldridge Alternative, and newcomer E & B Wildcat.
The Glovers pride themselves on producing ‘ready-to-work’ bulls with a quiet demeanour and structural integrity.
The 35 bulls have been genotyped and semen-tested, and also comply with all the Immune Ready Guidelines which include tested PI Negative, had their vaccinations and boosters of 7-in-1, Pestigard, Vibrovax and Rhinogard.
Sale day starts at 9.30am with inspections of the bulls on offer and morning tea.
The sale will start at noon, with the ‘Pick Of the Pair’ charity heifer package. All proceeds will be donated to The Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea.
“The heifers we have chosen to donate, happen to be the top of the autumn 2024 drop and will not disappoint any breeder looking to potentially adding one of these beauties to their herd,” Fiona Glover said.
“The auction will then flow on to the 35 HBR bulls and, of course, all this will be interfaced on AuctionsPlus if you can’t make it on the day.”
After the sale, attendees are welcomed to join the Wattlewood team for lunch and refreshments.
Wattlewood Angus is at 75 Heads Rd, Lang Lang.
