Turtles — specifically the eastern long-necked turtle, Murray short-necked turtle and broad-shelled turtle — were showcased during Turtle Talk, an interactive event presented by RiverConnect and Turtles Australia experts.
Attendees not only had the chance to learn about local freshwater turtle species up close, but they also held them while News photographer Rechelle Zammit snapped a memorable photo.
