In the streets of Numurkah, cars purred and motorcycles gave throaty roars that commanded attention at the weekend — and boy, did they get it.

On Sunday, October 13, the masses swarmed the town for the annual Show Us Ya Wheels event, showcasing vehicles of various makes and models.
Melville St, dubbed Conrad Straight, displayed an incredible lineup of classic cars, muscle cars and everything in between.
But that’s not all.
To the delight of auto hobbyists and enthusiasts, the queue of cars snaked its way around street corners where more could be found alongside motorcycles, tractors and even a helicopter.
Among them were rides fit for a king.
The Torana GTR XU-1, famously driven by Peter ‘King of the Mountain’ Brock, was on display, and chauffeured rides were available in Careful Cobbers, featuring the very car King Charles drove back in 1985.
When children weren’t walking with parents, marvelling at the popped hoods and glistening paint, they were occupied with face painting and games.
Meanwhile, trade stalls wheeled and dealed, live music pumped and food trucks fuelled attendees throughout the day.
