The Maggie Beer Foundation’s Trainer Mentor Program rolled into Shepparton as part of a nationwide initiative serving change to 120 aged care facilities.
The program’s mission? To enhance the quality of life for elderly residents through improved food experiences.
“At Shepparton Villages, we already take pride in the standard and quality of our food and beverages — but we know there’s always room for fresh thinking, too,” a spokesperson for Shepparton Villages said.
Throughout the week, senior trainer Michael Nam led a comprehensive training session for the kitchen crew, focusing on improving the nutritional value, presentation and taste of each dish served.
On Friday, February 7, News photographer Rechelle Zammit was on hand to snap some sizzling shots of the action.
