“We had our inaugural festival last year and it was a roaring success,” Stanhope Food and Wine Festival Committee member Christine Dicketts said.
“We had over 750 people there, and just the most perfect weather, it was a lovely day,” Christine said.
“All in the main street of Stanhope.
“We blocked off the street and had picket fences from the shire, and with the artificial grass, it just looked terrific.”
The street party will include a variety of activities including food and wine from local vendors, music and children’s entertainment.
Delights to be dined upon include Asian, Indian, baked potatoes, Angelo’s pizza and pasta, meals from the Stanhope Cafe, and dairy fresh gelato.
For those who need it, the coffee will be fresh and there will be wine, along with Devonshire teas.
You will be able to pick up local honey, olive oil and herbs at the stalls of local produce.
To keep the kids entertained there is entertainment including face painting, horse and buggy rides.
The children will not be able to go past the fairy floss or snow cones.
There will be live music with bands throughout the day.
Entry to the Celebrate Stanhope Food and Wine Festival is a gold coin donation.
No dogs, glass free and smoke free event.
The festival will be held on Sunday, October 1 from 11am to 4pm in Birdwood St, Stanhope.
