The Murray River was running high across northern Victoria on the weekend, due to storage releases and run-off from rainfall.

The Murray River was running at 5.2 metres at Barmah last week, which amounts to about 20,000 Ml/day. During last October’s floods, the height reached 7m.
The Murray-Darling Basin Authority expects the river level to gradually decline in the coming weeks.
Moderate flood levels are easing along the Murray River at Barham. The main flood peak is currently in the Swan Hill area, where the river level is expected to remain below the minor flood level.
