Greater Shepparton City Council is progressing with plans to build a new skate park in Tatura, replacing the one at Memorial Place, Mactier Gardens.
Funded through the Federal Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure program, locals are invited to provide feedback on two proposed concept designs, which have been developed following public consultation.
“This new skate park will be an exciting and modern facility that caters to skaters, BMX riders and scooter users of all skill levels,” council director infrastructure Gary Randhawa said.
“Community input is essential to ensuring we create a space that meets the needs of local users.”
An in-person community meeting will be held on Monday, March 24, from 4.30pm to 6pm at Tatura Senior Citizens Hall. Alternatively, residents can submit their feedback online via council’s Shaping Greater Shepparton website between Monday, March 24, and Friday, April 4.
Tatura Skate Park will close on Tuesday, March 25, to allow demolition and site preparation to begin.
More details on the project can be found on council’s Major Projects page here, while feedback can be submitted via the Shaping Greater Shepp website.
