The program is designed to take participants on an immersive learning experience.
Many past graduates have gone on to take leadership positions in community organisations.
The Fairley Leadership Program continues to develop and inspire individuals to mobilise into action, providing them the tools to play a key role in positive change in the Goulburn Murray region.
The 11-month program offers a mix of learning environments, including face-to-face, online and intensives — where participants gain valuable access to successful community leaders, key decision and policy makers, and change makers.
Current Fairley participant and dairy farmer, Amabel Grinter, said participating in the Fairley program was a rewarding experience.
“There have been challenges particularly around COVID and the uncertainty this has brought the program,” she said.
“However, it has been a great demonstration of our ability as leaders, and as a team, to adapt and embrace an ever-changing world.”
Program executive officer Nathan Bibby said with the ever-changing landscape, there was a need to continue developing and supporting community leaders to inspire a positive mind-set and create change in the communities where they live.
“I encourage anyone with a passion to lead to apply,” he said.
