Running from April 4 to 13, the program featured 42 events across Greater Shepparton, spanning live music, theatre, workshops, exhibitions and more. Many events were free or low-cost, making the arts accessible to locals of all ages and backgrounds.
“The 2025 Shepparton Festival was super successful," festival chair Tim Winkler said.
"It was genuinely exciting to see crowds at many events and a number sold out, with a strong response to the diversity of the program — with music, plays, art making, fashion and artworks on display across the festival.
“We had awesome support from volunteers across each day of the event, with thousands of people from across Shepparton enjoying more than 40 events.
“We are now looking at engaging people and sponsors across Shepparton to make the 30th Shepparton Festival a landmark event for 2026,” Mr Winkler said.
La Descarga brought their high-energy performance to Converge on the Goulburn as part of the Shepparton Festival.
City of Greater Shepparton City Mayor Shane Sali also praised the festival for bringing the region’s creative talent into the spotlight.
“The Shepparton Festival is a great event for the community as it provides a wonderful platform to showcase and celebrate the creative talent in our region,” Cr Sali said.
“Council is proud to support the festival each year, and this year was no exception with an outstanding program for the community to enjoy.
“I had the opportunity to attend some of the events, and I was pleased to see so many community members engaging and supporting our local creatives.
“It was fantastic to see residents and visitors enjoying the wonderful cultural displays and having a good time.”
With planning already under way for the 30th edition of the Shepparton Festival next year, organisers say they’re aiming to make it a milestone event for the whole community.
