The masterplan will provide a framework for the staged redevelopment of the reserve, including the upgrade of existing facilities and investment in new facilities.
The plan supports strategic linkages between the Barooga Recreation Reserve and the sports facilities operated by the Barooga Sporties Group.
Albury-based Yonder Landscape Architecture has been engaged by Berrigan Shire Council to work with the community to prepare a masterplan for Barooga Recreation Reserve.
The Barooga Recreation Reserve is home to a number of sporting clubs and has a long history of hosting national and state level championships and sports carnivals.
The plan includes the upgrade of netball courts, tennis courts and the equestrian precinct.
Phase one of the master-planning process involved an online survey from July to late August and identified key strengths and issues with the project, which are now included in the draft plan.
There were 236 community responses to the survey.
The final masterplan will be completed in early November to mid December.
